1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Put cream, sugar and vanilla into small can, close can with lid and shake to dissolve sugar (about 30 shakes is enough)
Hold lid on tight to avoid wearing the contents of the can. Place small can into large can and fill the space around it with ice cubes. Pour salt over ice and close large can. The lid can be secured with duct tape if you wish. Roll can back and forth for about 20 minutes, open carefully and remove inner can from brine. you will find the cream frozen to the sides of the can with a bit of soft cream in the middle. Scrape down the frozen product into the wet and stir until uniform consistency. Eat it up before it melts.
