Worship

Stanley Park Community Church gathers every week for a powerful time of worship. Our Sunday Celebration features contemporary, lively worship music and a casual friendly atmosphere. Services are lead by one of our four worship groups including a variety of instruments.

Teaching

At Stanley Park Community Church we believe the Bible speaks to us today. Each week Senior pastor John Pearce offers practical and relevant teaching from the Bible. A convenient handout outlining the contents of the teaching is provided. We also from time to time have inspiring guest speakers on a variety of topics like Dave Croley's (crowbar@golden.net) talks on "Thoughts of a father"

For some recent teaching summaries and other handouts please visit the teaching section.

Kids Church

Children are a very important part of the Stanley Park Community Church family.  Children worship with their parents for the first part of our Sunday Celebration Service and during the teaching time the children head off to age appropriate groups. The youngest children attend the nursery (birth to age 2) , the pre-school and kindergarten children (ages 3 - 5)  join a class for bible lesson and crafts. The main group of children (grades 1 - 6) join together for a time of kids church to worship, celebrate and learn together. A Jr High class (grades 7-9) also gathers to focus on issue more relevant for their age group.. For more information checkout our kids ministry page.

Scent free

Several who love to join us here in Celebration Services are 'scent sensitive' - that is they are allergic to the scents in perfume and after shave lotions. For some, coming to Church can mean feeling sick for several days.

We think that is awful! And it doesn't have to happen. So we have decided to become a 'scent free' Church. We know it may take a few weeks to get used to the idea, and we know visitors and new people will not be aware right away. But here is what we want you to do. Please don't wear perfumes, after shave lotions, or anything else scented when you come to Church.
